Preparation of nonionic polyacrylamide and its influencing factors

Nonionic polyacrylamide is a linear polymer with the chemical formula (C3H5no) n that has a variety of functions such as thickening, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, thickening, retention and purification. It can also extend many important downstream products, widely used in oil, paper, water treatment, textile and many other industries.

Nonionic polyacrylamide is the general term for linear water-soluble polymer chemicals that are homogeneous or copolymerized with other monomers with mass fraction greater than 50%. Its special physical and chemical properties come from its molecular structure. Because the structural units contain amide groups, easy to form hydrogen bonds, so it has good water solubility. It can be easily grafted or crosslinked to obtain a variety of branched or reticulated modified products.

Preparation method and influencing factors of non-ionic polyacrylamide:

Steps: The obtained acrylamide aqueous solution is heated and purified, vacuum flash, resin is added to deionize, nitrogen is filled to deoxygenate, and pure acrylamide aqueous solution is extracted. Adding water and initiator to the obtained pure acrylamide solution, the polymerization reaction was carried out under the irradiation of halogen lamp. The irradiation temperature was 75 ~ 79℃, the reaction time was 3.8 ~ 4.2 hours, and the non-ionic polyacrylamide was generated. The obtained polyacrylamide was coarse-granulated and fine-granulated to obtain polyacrylamide granules. The obtained non-ionic polyacrylamide particles are dried, screened, ground and packed into storage.
