High purity polyacrylamide used in mine sludge dewatering, failure reasons and solutions:
Firstly, the high purity polyacrylamide for mine sludge dewatering was prepared. The long time before use resulted in the failure of PAM flocculant solution for mine sludge dewatering. Generally speaking, in the storage time, anionic type of mineral mud dehydration with PAM polyacrylamide flocculant solution can be stored for about 7 days, cationic type of mineral mud dehydration with PAM polyacrylamide flocculant solution can be stored for 24 hours. With the increase of time, the PAM flocculant solution used for mine sludge dewatering will degrade more and the use effect will be worse.
Secondly, when the mine sludge dewatering is dissolved with high purity polyacrylamide, the water temperature is too high. When the water temperature is too high, the mine sludge dewatering with PAM flocculant will be degraded. The higher the temperature, the faster the degradation. This is also the main reason that PAM flocculant is not effective in mine sludge dewatering.
To solve these two problems, there is a principle: when dissolving high purity polyacrylamide for mine sludge dehydration, use normal temperature water to dissolve flocculant for mine sludge dehydration, the temperature shall not exceed 60 degrees. The dissolved PAM flocculant solution used for dewatering of mine sludge should not be placed for a long time. Try to dissolve it now.
The storage time of anionic mine sludge with high purity polyacrylamide for dewatering shall not exceed 7 days, and the storage time of cationic mine sludge with high purity polyacrylamide solution shall not exceed 24 hours.
