polyacrylamide

Cationic polyacrylamide is a kind of water purifier widely used in water treatment industry. There are many categories, each with its own specific function. According to different classification methods, the classification of cationic polyacrylamide is also different. If ionic polyacrylamide can be divided into anionic, non-anionic, amphoteric and cationic forms, then it can also be divided into four forms, namely colloid, dispersion, emulsion and dry powder. Depending on the form, you will be interested in which of these four forms is more suitable for us.

In general, if frequently used, we can choose dry powder granules cationic polyacrylamide because of its high solid content. Dried cations are usually stored in a dry and cool place for more than two years, but when mixed with a solution, storage time is limited. In general, the duration of nonionic and anionic cationic polyacrylamide solutions does not exceed one week at a solution concentration of 0.1%, while the stability of cationic polyacrylamide solutions does not exceed one day. The stability of a solution depends on its concentration.

Therefore, cationic polyacrylamide solids are preferred, and the solids can be used as needed without waste. Of course, we must pay attention to various conditions and contraindications of cationic polyacrylamide. Cationic polyacrylamide is more sensitive to iron, calcium, and magnesium ions than anionic polymers. In particular, iron is the catalyst that causes the chemical degradation of all cationic polyacrylamides. Therefore, when preparing, transferring, and storing cationic polyacrylamide solutions, it is important to try to avoid iron ions entering contact equipment through plastic, stainless steel, and glass containers.
